I worked for 50 years and thought that was enough.
Now I write for myself.
During my sophomore year in high school, a kind teacher told me that I had written the best essay he had ever read by a high school student. The praise continued into college. A college professor stopped me while walking across campus. “That essay you wrote on the final last semester was one of the best I have ever read.” I will spend the rest of my life trying to become a writer, even while working, as a chef, and later, a technical writer.
Inspired by Goethe’s couplet “Boldness has genius, power and magic in it,” at age 49 I began to blog. In blogging, I created a platform to express my dreams, hopes, and aspirations. Mys Blog has been called a history of an American male.
I have loved and lost – and loved and won. I continue to savor that victory.
